musicians like you and me, but there are many other ways that you can benefit from Apple.

You will all be aware of a little something called iTunes and you will also probably have an iPod, let’s face it almost everyone has. The iPod has literally taken over the world and people across the globe spend most of their days with the devices pumping music into their ears. The iPod really is the music device of the world. So inevitably one of the best ways to get your music out there is to plug into the world of Apple and tune into the ears of the world.

There are several ways to get your music onto iTunes, but once it is there it is up to you to get it
seen. Creating an iMix is one of the best ways to get people listening to your music; it will also give your track visibility. An iMix is a playlist of songs you create on the iTunes store which you can then publish and send to people. Individuals can then vote on iMixes and the higher score you have the more likely it is that people will listen to your music. By creating a theme for your iMix playlist, which should include famous bands who are in the same genre, you will be visible to fans of that type of music, who should in turn buy your track.

If you have not published your tracks on iTunes already then you should choose a digital music
distribution service which will upload your music to iTunes. You have to add a lot of information
to this service, including accompanying artwork and the banking information you would like tied
to your iTunes sales. But once you have completed all the forms your song will be on iTunes.
This service may cost you money, but in the end it is worth it. In 2010 there were 11.7 billion
songs downloaded from iTunes, so the super company has some weight behind it. And this is a
marketplace where it pays to be seen.
