We are an up and coming band with over 10,000 fans on facebook. We want to get to get the music to the right people at the record labels. How do you find those people? ...

Just wondering if a band demonstrates strong songwriting skills, talent, charisma and/or sex appeal, has a good quality demo with quality songs but hasn't "paid their dues" if a label would sign them based on potential....

I am wondering what happens when a major label buys out an 'indie'? And why do they do it? Do you have any examples of a major label buying out an indie? When they do it are they buying the whole indie label, or just a band that they are interested on the indie's rooster? Thanks, i hope you understand my question....
